Juan Cruz earned his undergraduate degree in Agrarian Economics with a focus in Marketing from the University of Belgrano (Buenos Aires, Argentina) in 1995. In 2000, he completed a Specialization in
Environmental Economics and Natural Resources, at the University of Alcalá de Henares (Madrid, Spain).
In 2008, he completed a Master's Degree in Agri-food Economics at the National University of La Plata (Buenos Aires Argentina). Juan Cruz began his professional career at a very young working alongside his father in the family real estate business. In 1994, he joined Correo Argentino as Product Manager in marketing. After a very successful experience in that company, Juan Cruz moved to Rio Gallegos (Southern Patagonia) in 1998 as a business management & marketing advisor to livestock producers as part of a specialized team at the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA). Juan Cruz spent seven years in Patagonia. In 2005, he moved to Rafaela, province of Santa Fe (Argentina), to pursue new research on the dairy supply chain and that industry’s impact on regional development as part of a specialized economics team at INTA.
In addition to his current role at Greenwich Creek Capital Management, Juan Cruz continues to further his research and business management consulting practice to agricultural producers at the Ángel Gallardo Experimental Operations Center of the National Institute of Agricultural Technology in Santa Fe, Argentina.
He wants to see Greenwich Creek Capital Management provide active asset management to everyone regardless of account size! Juan Cruz in a medium to long-term investor, understands the need to start
saving and investing at an early age, and to protect capital and assets with the aim of generating future cash flows in retirement.
In his free time, he likes to be with his three children, play golf, sail, and play tennis.
